Crystal Tsang is a traditional Chinese Kung Fu practitioner, an emerging documentary filmmaker, and a digital marketing strategist. She is a Los Angeles native moving to Philadelphia this May.
After graduating from UC Berkeley with a double major in Economics and Film, she became a Creative Strategist and an expert in all things digital marketing in order to become a master of digital media. Driven by an innate curiosity, her moral compass, and a deep love for the lives of ordinary people, Crystal has been steadily moving toward nonfiction filmmaking and video journalism. She currently has two personal documentary projects in production: Motherland, a short film about her relationship to her grandparents, who are children of Chinese Trotskyists, and Kung Fu Baby, a feature film that challenges the traditional Chinese Kung Fu community to confront its many contradictions. Crystal Tsang is also a member of The Saturday Free School for Philosophy and Black Liberation, where she is producing a podcast about James Baldwin.
Crystal is open to all work opportunities and collaborations across nonfiction filmmaking, producing, community organizing, and marketing.
